Kimberly C. Rhyan is a visual artist who graduated with a BA in Fine Art in 2000 from Mmount Veron Nazarene University. She is known for being a colorist and abstract artist. After receiving her BA, she served for two years as an artist/AmeriCorps member with the Greater Columbus Arts Council’s, Children of the Future after-school program at Blackburn Recreation Center.
She moved to New York in 2003 after deciding to pursue an MA in Creative Arts Therapy at Hofstra University. She returned to Ohio in 2011 and exhibited her paintings in several art shows in Columbus and grove port before finally relocating in Cincinnati in 2017. She finally decided to return to the easel and is currently working on a new series to debut in 2020 called, “Visions.”
She has spent the past six years teaching classes pro bono at her son’s elementary school. She uses problem solving and literacy to spark the creative spirit within every person.
